The Cross–The Greatest Hope of All (Tue & Thurs sessions)

STARTING: TUESDAY 11th MARCH 2pm – 3:30pm & THURSDAY 13th MARCH 7:30pm – 9pm

Join us in Church for study and prayer as we reflect upon Mark’s Gospel account of the Passion narrative and Jesus’ cry from the cross, ‘My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?’ Psalm 22.

The book for study, written by the Archbishop of York Stephen Cottrell, ponders the significance of these words from the cross. In our sessions we will ask what it means for Jesus to have quoted them at the very end of his life and what do these words mean for us today? We recommend you have a copy in order to read each topic in advance of the session. We begin each session with refreshments.
