Sunday School

Sunday school meets in the small hall in the Parish Centre every Sunday in term-time, except the first Sunday of the month, when the 10 o'clock Eucharist is for the whole family. Children start at age 3 with no upper age limit. At present there are two classes covering ages 3-14. We have a general worship period, then split into groups for teaching and activities appropriate to age.

On Sunday school days you may bring your children into the parish centre before the service so that we can process into Church with the Sunday school banner. We then leave after the first hymn. Parents are welcome to accompany children into Sunday school if they feel it will help them settle in. We will come back into Church at the time of the Eucharist and receive a blessing. If you would like to meet your children for communion please wait for us at the font. After communion children may either join their parents or sit with the Sunday school at the front of the Church. There is then a 'show and tell' few minutes when the children explain what they have been doing and show their work to the congregation.

During Sunday school a collection is made. Our collection goes towards supporting the Nassolo Children's Ward at Mengo Hospital in Uganda and Botton village in Yorkshire.

Sunday school leaders work on a rota basis and we are:- Sue Scrivener - Janet Rubbige - Deborah Langston - Alison Jones - Robina Jones - Juliet Marsh - David O'Brien. Additionally members of the congregation help in Sunday school on an occasional basis and if you would be interested in helping please talk to a member of the team.

Please take a look at our rota for term times.

We are celebrating our Summer Party on 13th June click here for our leaflet

If you would like any further information about the Sunday school please call Sue in the evenings on 01932 843968
