Heathside School

Heathside School is an 11-18 comprehensive Technology College in affiliation with the Diocese of Guildford.

It provides a high standard of education across a broad curriculum with particular emphasis in the sciences and new technologies.

In 2001 the school was awarded the government's School Achievement Award for Excellence. The Technology College Trust presented an award for the best ICT results in GCSE and A level examinations as well as an award for Most Improved School. The school also provides a wide range of opportunities for extra curricular activities including sports, music and drama through which it has formed close links with the community.

Members of the clergy from St James's Church regularly visit Heathside, holding assemblies and assisting with Religious Education. Many of the young people in the church choir attend Heathside.

Brooklands College

Brooklands College provides a wide range of post-16 educational opportunities including A levels, GNVQs and numerous specialist courses, many of which can be taken as part-time or distance learning as well as full time.

St James's Church provides a part time chaplaincy to the college.
